The Staring Contest

When the man in black grabbed Mama, she responded reflexively and slapped him across the face.

Then she realized that there were actually two men in black.

There was a brief staring contest where no one moved or blinked.

Then Mama turned and walked briskly away down the sidewalk. She hoped that they did not follow.
