Be Your Dog

Baby couldn't get back to sleep. When Ruby got up, Baby grabbed her and told her about Wrill's vision of Bro in danger.

Ruby broke down and told Baby about Bro's secret plan to go try to find Lisa.

"Oh no." sighed Baby.

Baby brought Wrill up to speed. They talked things over. Baby was afraid that Mama would freak out if she knew what was going on. Wrill thought that Peach and Novio were a couple of tools and that he and Baby could do a better job of rescuing Bro without them.

So they swore Ruby to silence and Wrill threw on a baseball hat and a pair of shades to hide his bald head and martian eyes. Then the two of them snuck out to try and find Bro.

They searched for most of the day without success. Then they saw a couple of men in black, talking in front of a squat brick building with no windows. Wrill told Baby he wanted to get a closer look. He told her to stay back, out of sight. He strolled casually up the sidewalk. When he reached the MIBS, he said, "Yo dogs, s'up!"

Without any warning, the closest man in black punched Wrill right in the face, laying him flat on his back on the sidewalk.

The other one looked down at Wrill and hissed, "We're not your dogs, Dog."
