Who's That Girl?

It's 12:45 on a cold Monday morning in the Sunset Valley Cemetery. Dr. Noory's niece, Ruby, has just emerged from the catacombs with a very unusual traveling companion, the last, living, pure-strain, Martian. The sole survivor of a merciless and systematic extermination campaign. His name is, Wrill.

Under cover of darkness, Ruby and Wrill made their way to the the safe-house where the rest of the fugitives were already in hiding.

Dr. Noory made the introductions. Things were definitely a bit awkward at first. But soon everyone was chatting away like old friends.

Baby told Ruby about the wild visions she experienced when she had unknowingly stumbled into the radiation field of Wrill's disorienting, psychic aura.

Ruby told Baby that, although she may have experienced an intimate connection with Wrill in the crypt, she had better not get too attached to the feeling. Wrill belonged to her.

Then Mama noticed that Wrill seemed to be a bit unsteady on his feet.

She was about to ask him if he was feeling okay when the Martian tumbled onto the grass and began snoring loudly. Mama hoped Wrill was okay. Baby hoped Wrill liked her hair,

But Wrill was just really sleepy from the drugs Dr. Noory had given him to dampen his psychic radiation. He and Bro carried Wrill into the house and put him to bed.

When Dr. Noory came back outside, he asked Ruby if anyone had seen them on their journey to the safe-house. Ruby assured him that they had escaped unseen, although they did have one close call in the graveyard. For some reason there was a girl there, talking on a cell phone.

"A girl?" Dr. Noory asked.

"Yeah. She looked about high school age. Blonde hair in pigtails. She must have been some kind of nut to be hanging around in a graveyard after midnight."
